Call for entries …. The Women’s Studies Journal Graduate Prize

The editorial collective of the Women’s Studies Journal, in association with the Women’s Studies Association of Aotearoa New Zealand, is pleased to announce the inaugural Women’s Studies Journal Graduate Prize for a Feminist Essay. The theme for the 2015 award is gender based violence in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

The WSA welcomes submissions from graduate students in any discipline who wish to submit an original essay of 4,000-5,000 words addressing this theme. The closing date for submissions is 1 June 2015. The award comprises a citation from the Women’s Studies Association, $500, and consideration for publication in the Women’s Studies Journal. Submission guidelines are available on the Women’s Studies Journal website (http://www.wsanz.org.nz/journal.htm)

To be eligible to enter, you  must be enrolled in a graduate degree at a tertiary institution in Aotearoa New Zealand. For further information download the attached flyer. the 2015 theme is: gender-based violence in contemporary Aotearoa/New Zealand.
